There are many types of groups that use programs from Hope Channel for their own benefit.    Here are only a few examples:

  • Church home cell groups

  • Cooking instructors
  • Addiction support groups
  • Sports clubs' programs on exercise
  • Aid agencies
  • Hospitals and clinics
  • Schools

How to get such groups to use Hope Channel:

  • Give them a list of programs, highlighting those of an educational nature, which would be of most interest to that group.
  • Give details of how they can watch Hope Channel, and encourage them to have at least one member of the group watch Hope Channel to identify and record programs of interest to them.
  • Offer to make recordings of specific programs for them.

LPTV PDF Print E-mail

LPTV (Low Powered TV)

Start your own LPTV station to serve your community!   We have hundreds of small stations around  the world, who rebroadcast Hope Channel programs.   Some are operated by individuals, others by churches, universities or hospitals and yet others by associations of churches!

LPTV enables you to broadcast directly to the TVs in city homes.  No special equipment is needed by viewers, except possibly a low cost external antenna to improve reception.   Television can reach thousands who may be unreachable by other means.

Equipment is not expensive.  A small 2 watt transmitter is able to reach up to 16 km.   A large tower or mast is not needed if your antenna is located in a good position.

LPTV Creates opportunities to broadcast good quality video programmes produced in your own city or church, using local singers and speakers in local languages.

Due to the specialized nature of LPTV, those interested are invited to contact our Technical Support Service for more detailed information and guides.   Email:  info (at) hopeafrica (dot) tv

Public broadcasters PDF Print E-mail

Good programs are expensive to produce.   Many broadcasters would like to show a wider range of programs, but do not have the resources to produce all that they could use.

Especially in Africa and other developing regions, broadcasters do not have enough material to broadcast on a 24-hour service, especially overnight.

How to get  your broadcaster to add Hope Channel:

  • Make an appointment with the administrator most likely to make the decision and show a promotional DVD, or samples of our programs on a DVD or video tape.
  • Give them a list of programs, highlighting those of an educational nature, which will help viewers with improving their health, giving up addictions, improving their outlook on life, learning to live with others, etc
  • Give them a sample of the contract which allows them to use Hope Channel free of charge.

Cable Networks PDF Print E-mail

Cable networks operate in many countries. Look for groups of TVs that are connected to each other by cables. Here are some examples:

Commercial Cable networks: Viewers pay a fee to be connected to the network, such networks could include many thousands of viewers. The Cable Operators are usually quite sensitive to the needs of their viewers and are constantly looking out for ways to improve their bouquet of channels in order to stay ahead of the competition! They usually pay monthly charges for the channels they show on their network.

How to get Cable Network operators to add Hope Channel:

  • Ask viewers who subscribe to write every month on a postcard to their network operator, asking for Hope Channel to be added. If they don’t know about Hope Channel, give them the website address: www.hopetv.org or www.hopeafrica.tv
  • Approach the Cable Operator, giving information about Hope Channel (write to us), including the fact that Hope Channel could be added to his bouquet of channels free of monthly charges.
  • In some cases you or your church may want to donate the equipment to the Cable Network, if they are willing to add Hope to their network.

Prisons, Hospitals & Universities: No fees are paid by viewers, and a limited number of channels are distributed by cable to lounges, wards, or other larger viewing rooms. Hope Channel educational programs may be of most interest to such organizations.

Find out from the administration or technical officer whether a cable network exists.

How to get such institutions to add Hope Channel:

  • Decisions about adding new channels are usually made by the administration or owners, so you would need to approach them directly.
  • Make an appointment with the administrator most likely to make the decision and show them a promotional DVD, or samples of our programs on a DVD or video tape.
  • Give them a list of programs, highlighting those of an educational nature, which will help viewers with improving their health, giving up addictions, improving their outlook on life, learning to live with others, etc.
  • Give them a sample of the contract which allows them to use Hope Channel free of charge.

Hotel Chains and Holiday resorts, timeshare, etc. All TVs are connected by cable to a central distribution point. Owners usually pay for the channels they show on their network.

How to get such organizations to add Hope Channel:

  • Approach their Head Office, explaining how Hope Channel would improve the range of programs on their TV channels.
  • Approach the hotel or holiday resort in your region, as above.
  • Show them a promotional DVD, or samples of our programs on a DVD or video.
  • Give them a sample of the contract which allows them to use Hope Channel free of charge.
